DPD provides a secure shopping cart, integrates with PayPal and other payment gateways, and automatically provides protected download links to your customers. You can upload and set up your product within a matter of minutes, add the button code created by DPD to your website, and people can start buying products from your site.
Who Should Use DPD?
DPD is a great option, but it’s not the right fit for everyone. For example, if you want to run a large e-commerce site with 2,000 products, DPD would not be an ideal solution (try Shopify).
DPD may be a great fit if you have an existing website or blog and you want to sell a few digital products. There is no limit to the number of products you can sell with DPD, but pricing is based on the number of products, and the simplicity of the system also makes it a better fit for smaller online shops.
Many successful bloggers make at least a portion of their income by selling digital products like e-books, training videos, online courses, or other types of downloadable products. DPD is a great option for bloggers who want to sell their own products.

Use it With Your Existing Website

With DPD you’ll be provided code for “buy now” and “add to cart” buttons that can be added to the pages of your existing site. No Security Worries
Since the shopping cart is hosted by DPD you won’t have to worry about things like PCI compliance with your own server. Typically, e-commerce sites require a lot of attention to security and protecting customer data. DPD takes care of those details for you since no personal information from your customers will be entered on your own server. If you’re running a small online shop it is a great thing not to have to worry about these issues.
No Per-Sale Fees
DPD charges a flat monthly fee based on the number of products that you have in your shop and the amount of disk space that you need to store your digital products. You will not be charged a per-sale fee and DPD does not take a commission out of your sales (you will have fees from your payment processor, PayPal or others).
DPD hosts your digital products and they provide secure, protected download links to your customers. The customers will not be given a download link that they can turn around and share with other people, so it makes your products more secure and reduces theft. You can set a limit on download attempts and the number of days that protected download links will work before expiring. If a customer needs to download a product after that time you can reset the purchase very easily.

How to Get Started with DPD
If you’ve seen enough and you want to get started with your 30-day free trial of DPD, follow these steps. First, click the button on their homepage to sign up for the trial.
You’ll be led through a simple signup process. First, you’ll enter your name, email, and create a password. Next, you’ll enter some details like your store name, cart URL, and the name and email of the support person (can be yourself).
Next, you’ll select your payment method. The easiest way to get started, for must users, is to use PayPal Payments Standard. If you have a regular PayPal account you can use it here. Other options include PayPal Express, PayPal Payments Pro, Payza, Clickbank, 2Checkout, Authorize.net, Stripe, Sage Pay Direct, and Pin. If you’re using PayPal Payments Standard all you need to do is enter the email address used for your PayPal account and payments will be sent to this account.
That’s all you have to do to setup your store! Of course, you’ll want to add some products. Click on the “New Product” link under “Product Tools” in the vertical navigation.
From here you’ll choose “digital product”, unless you are selling a physical product that will be shipped to customers. You’ll enter details like the product name and price, as well as some optional details like a SKU and product description. Next, you’ll be led to a page where you can add the digital file to be delivered to customers.
In most cases you’ll simply upload the file (usually a zip file) from your computer. You’ll then click on the button to finish the product and you can click on the button creator to get the code for your choice of button styles.
Copy the code provided by DPD and paste it in to your website. If you’re using WordPress, click on the “text” tab before pasting the code. Code doesn’t work if you paste it while on the “visual” tab.
You’ve now got a product for sale thanks to the help of DPD and you’re ready to start making money! There are a lot of other things that you can do from your DPD dashboard, like customize the email templates, set up your affiliate program, create coupon codes, and more.
